8/20/14  Texas Frontier Trails has announced their next event. It will be another play starring the popular Barry Corbin! The play, Buffalo Altar, will be presented on Saturday, September 20, 2014, on their new stage in the Texas Frontier Trails Western Heritage Park in Mineral Wells. Tickets will be available shortly. Details will be posted soon on the Events page. 

4/15/13  Texas Frontier Trails has announced Ranch Heritage Day and the first annual Street Dance in the Park to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in the Texas Frontier Days Western Heritage Park (formerly Pollard Park) at 3099 N. Oak Avenue, Mineral Wells. The dance features the Taylor Hickey Band. Enjoy local entertainment all day long. Sample some chuckwagon vittles and take a ride in an authentic surrey. There will be mechanical bull riding, live music good eatin', good stories and good company. $20 per person for all events, $5.00 per person for dance only. Gates open 1:00 p.m. Dance 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. See News section of our website for more details.

2/20/12  Texas Frontier Trails has announced their next event, a Goodnight Roundup on April 14, 2012, held at Texas Frontier Trails Western Heritage Park (formerly Pollard Park) iin Mineral Wells. Included are Ranch Heritage Day, a Chuck Wagon Competition and a Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration by Kent Rollins, award-winning dutch oven cook, cowboy poet and humorist. Come out for good eatin', good stories, mechanical bull ridin' and live music!  Tickets are $20 each, available from TFT at 940-327-8386, PPC Farm Bureau Insurance at 940-325-9412, Bennett's Office Supply at 940-325-1344 and the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce at 940-325-2557. Gates open at 10AM - meal served at 5PM.

7/08/11  Texas Frontier Trails has announced their next play, set for two performances on September 23 and 24, and performed at the Frontier Trails Theatre in Pollard Park in Mineral Wells. This year, the selection is a story about five pioneer women. "A Way in the West: Women of the American Frontier," will star acclaimed actress, Trudy Fair, performing in all five roles.  Trudy has performed the play, written by Andy Wilkerson, several times in recent years, always to appreciative crowds.

4/26/11  Texas Frontier Trails will set up in Pollard Park as one of the seven stops on the Palo Pinto County On Tour on April 30, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  This is a self-paced historical & wildflower driving tour presented by the Palo Pinto  County Historical Commission that includes visits to seven historical Palo Pinto County locations that are not usually open to the public.  For more information, please visit  TFT will be offering donuts and coffee from 9:00 to 11:00 and cobbler and ice cream from 11:00 to 4:00.  A wagon will be available to take folks through the park to visit the TFT stage area.  There will also be displays describing the history of the park.

1/28/11  The TFT annual membership meeting was held last night at Holiday Hills Country Club, followed by the first meeting of the Board of Directors for 2011.  The board discussed several projects for this year, including another play by Andy Wilkinson and hosting an evening at the park for the Ray Stegall trail ride as it comes through town on the way to Cowtown.  A third event is also being planned.  Watch here and on the Events page for all the details!

8/9/10  Barry Corbin was in great form Saturday night, eliciting a standing ovation from the overflow crowd after his excellent portrayal of Charlie Goodnight. As exciting a first event for TFT as could be hoped for!  The TFT board of directors send their thanks to all of the sponsors and the many volunteers who made this special night possible!  And, of course, special thanks from the board go out to everyone who bought tickets!

8/2/10  As of today, 45 sponsors have signed up to support the upcoming TFT production of "Charlie Goodnight's Last Night" on August 7!  Our sponsors get recognition at the event and on our website,VIP parking, reserved seats near the stage and more.  Sponsorship information is available on the Events page.  However, dinner for so many people in the park had to be changed to a Meet & Greet ice cream reception after the play and the opportunity to meet Barry Corbin.

5/22/10  Announcement of the August 7 play with Barry Corbin is generating lots of excitement in the Mineral Wells area.  Sponsors are beginning to sign up for VIP parking, reserved seating, dinner before the play, the opportunity to meet Barry and much more.  Work continues on the Pollard Park site where the play will be presented.
